Alexander County Sheriff’s Office Explorer Program
The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office Explorer Program which is a part of N.C. Association of Law Enforcement Explorer Advisors, Inc. The program is designed to educate youth aged 14-20 on the law enforcement profession. Teamwork, discipline, time management, and leadership skills are just a few of the skills learned by cadets. These skills can be used in all professions, and the student does not necessarily have to choose the profession of law enforcement.
The program is open to males and females at least 14 years of age who have not yet reached their 21st birthday. Regular meetings are held two Tuesdays a month at the Alexander County Court House in downtown Taylorsville from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
For questions about the program, contact Sheriff Chad Pennell by email or phone at 828-632-1111.
