Return to Divisions


The patrol division consists of 4 squads that work 12 hour shifts providing law enforcement services to the citizens of Alexander County 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.  Each patrol squad consists of one supervisor and two patrol deputies.  The Patrol Division provides all basic law enforcement functions that the Sheriff’s Office is charged with including the enforcement of state laws and local ordinances, the service of various types of criminal and civil processes, subpoenas and other legal documents, the investigation of criminal acts committed within the county, and other services.   The patrol division supervisors report to the First Sergeant and Lieutenant.
