National Night Out To Be Held Tuesday, August 2nd

Alexander County will host its 4th annual National night Out Against Crime on Tuesday, August 2nd, 2016 from 5pm until 9pm at the Taylorsville Lions Club Fairgrounds located at 175 Fairgrounds Rd.  The free event is open to the community and is designed to bring neighbors and law enforcement together to help build working partnerships aimed at reducing and preventing crime in their neighborhoods.  Free hotdogs, popcorn, and bottled water will be given away while supplies last.  Alexander County Crime Stoppers will be selling Wendy’s Crispy Chicken Sandwiches, Jr. Frosty’s, and canned soft drinks for only $1 each with all proceeds going directly to the non-profit Crime Stoppers organization.  Free live entertainment will be provided by Ten-Eighteen band, a local group consisting of current ad former emergency services employees playing classic rock.  Shake Down band will also join us again this year bringing your favorites of beach, shag, rock’n’roll, funk, motown, country, and top 40 music.  A children’s area will feature bounce attractions and other fun activities as well as a visit from Mcgruff the Crime Dog.  Various emergency vehicle displays including several helicopters are planned to be on display for the event as well as informational booths from our community partners.  Come out and enjoy a free evening of fun and entertainment for the whole family as you help us take a stand against crime in Alexander County!  More information is available on our website at http://alexandersheriff.org/national-night-out/
